Every team
Record and alliance scores for each team, from the file.
Look down the ranking
The teams from your results file, in the order you chose, with each one's average alliance score and how much it swings from match to match. Remember what the bar is: an alliance's score, shared with whoever they were paired with. A team near the top with a wide swing may have been carried in one match and not the next.
How this is calculated
For every played match, each team on the red alliance gets the red score and the margin red score − blue score, and the same for blue. A higher score is a win, a lower one a loss, equal scores a tie.
average alliance score = Σ own alliance’s scores ÷ matches played average margin = Σ (own score − other score) ÷ matches playedWhat this doesn’t cover
Alliance scores don’t say what one team contributed. To compare teams’ own contributions, scout them: the Scouting page counts what each robot does, and Alliance Selection weighs it up.
Make a notebook page
Turns this calculation into a dated engineering notebook page: the setup, data, results, figures, working and sources, numbered and cited. You add the goal, the decision and the reflection in your own words, plus photos and sketches. Print it, paste it into Google Docs, or download a Word file or slides.
Sources & assumptions
No VEX figures are used. Every result comes from your file; the averages arederived from it.
