What this is

HH - Toolshed is a personal workshop that happens to be public.

Most of what's here started as a question I couldn't get a straight answer to. Rather than settle for a forum thread and a shrug, I worked it out and turned the result into something reusable. If it was useful to me, it's probably useful to someone else, so it goes up here.

Ground rules

• Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type gets sent anywhere, because there's nowhere for it to be sent.
• No accounts and no tracking. There's no sign-up, no newsletter gate, and no analytics following you between pages.
• Assumptions are stated. Where a tool depends on a rule, a published figure, or a judgment call, the page names which one and links to the source. A number with no provenance isn't worth much.
• Wrong answers get fixed. If a tool gives a result that doesn't match reality, that's a bug in the tool, not a quirk to work around.
